Sustainability in practice: a significant TQM improvement in Green Carrier auditing

16. 1. 2024

TQM - holding s.r.o. (TQM) was audited once again in 2023 by FUMO, a German company specialising in the evaluation of carriers in selected retail chains. The audit called Green Carrier brought TQM another, or second award in the form of the Green Carrier certificate. 171 different criteria were evaluated, and TQM's result is 71.17 %, which represents an improvement of 7.82 percentage points compared to 2022.

In the case of TQM, the audit was related to the provision of goods deliveries for the Kaufland Czech Republic chain.

The audit focuses on examining parameters in three key areas, namely: organisation and controlling, fleet condition and office and administration. TQM has significantly improved its performance in the first area - organisation and controlling, where it achieved an improvement of 12.14 percentage points. This improvement reflects the steps taken by the company in the area of energy management, specifically in the gradual implementation of the recommended measures from the energy audit and its regular monthly evaluation.

Compared to the previous year, TQM not only confirmed but even surpassed the results regarding the above-average fleet condition. The result can be attributed to the long-term investments in the fleet and the professional organisation of the truck transport.

In the office and administration area, the company achieved an improvement of 9.02 percentage points, thanks to adequate changes aimed at optimising energy consumption across the company and prioritising the purchase of energy-saving equipment.

"Our decision to focus on sustainability and start implementing energy management measures enabled us to achieve an improvement of almost 8 percentage points during the year. We see these steps as an necessary factor for our success in both the domestic and international environment", comments TQM's Truck Transport Director, Ing. Svatopluk Kříž.
