TQM has been certified as a Green Carrier

TQM - holding s.r.o. (TQM) has successfully completed its Green Carrier audit and has been awarded the Green Carrier certificate.

The audit was conducted by the German company FUMO, which audits carriers of selected retail chains. In the case of TQM, the audit was related to the provision of goods deliveries for the Kaufland Czech Republic chain.

Mr. Svatopluk Kříž, Director of Truck Transport, reacts to the TQM results as follows: "The principle of the Green Carrier audit is to assess how the company under review approaches the reduction of the environmental impact of its operations. TQM scored 337 points out of a maximum possible 532. We complied with the requirements at 63.35 %. Of the Czech carriers assessed, only two companies have been awarded the Green Carrier certificate, and TQM is one of them. We consider the certificate to be proof of our commitment to integrating sustainable activities into our operations and we are convinced that it is the right direction for our future activities."

Three main areas were examined during the audit: organisation and controlling, fleet and administration. TQM commented, for example, on topics such as the implementation of a methodology for calculating the carbon footprint, the evaluation of energy, gas, water and fuel consumption, the use of alternative energy sources, the condition and equipment of the fleet, vehicle maintenance and servicing, as well as informing and educating employees about economical driving, etc.

TQM achieved the best results in the area of 'vehicle fleet'.
