4. 6. 2024

This year, TQM - holding s.r.o. will again continue its annual renewal and expansion of its truck fleet. The company has decided to purchase four new Scania 500 S trucks with the fuel-efficient Super powertrain and three new Scania R 320 flatbed trailers which were fitted with curtain-sided bodies by the TQM Metal Workshop, including certification and homologation.

In order to ensure the greatest possible operational efficiency, superior conditions for drivers and to minimize the environmental impact of truck transport, this year TQM - holding s.r.o. (TQM) has decided to make a major investment related to the renewal and expansion of its truck transport fleet. As part of the delivery of new Scania vehicles, four new Scania 500 S trucks with fuel-efficient Super powertrains and three new Scania R 320 chassis are going to Opava.

The two-unit Scania R 320 chassis are equipped with a nine-litre 320 hp engine and an automated transmission with Opticruise shifting system. They are complemented by an electrically folding cab, a premium driver's seat and LED interior and exterior lighting. The company's TQM locksmith workshop has manufactured the bodies for these chassis, creating three flatbed trailers, each with a maximum weight of up to 18 tonnes.

Scania 500 S trucks bring the Super powertrain to the TQM fleet. It is based on a new generation 13-litre six-cylinder engine, which is complemented by an Opticruise transmission or all-new rear axles.

"The Super is our most advanced diesel powertrain, setting new benchmarks in efficiency. Compared to its predecessors, it has eight percent lower fuel consumption and therefore CO2 emissions, and it holds this year's Green Truck title for Europe's most efficient long-haul vehicle," says Michal Hubáček, Director of the Scania Moravia dealership. The vehicles are also equipped with a mechanically folding cab, premium driver's seat and LED lighting.

The TQM truck fleet currently numbers 137 vehicles, 43 of which are Scania. All newly acquired Scania vehicles are in the company's yellow livery. TQM has also taken advantage of service contracts for these trucks for a period of four years.

"Regular investment in our fleet is one way of demonstrating to our business partners and the wider community our commitment to providing first-class service in the truck transport industry. We see these investments as a competitive advantage, both in relation to our business partners and our drivers. It's not just about buying new vehicles. This year we have been certified as a Green Carrier for the second time and we want to improve our rating in this area", comments the Director of Truck Transport, Svatopluk Kříž.
